Honor Guard

The Jefferson Police Department Honor Guard was founded in 2008 and consisted of seven uniformed officers. The division was formed for the purpose of serving our community in special events such as the Fallen Officer ceremony hosted by Living Word Worship Center and the Memorial Day ceremony hosted by the American Legion.  The Honor Guard also represents the department in funerals, parades, and other special events when requested.

The Honor Guard generally performs the 3-Volley Salute and the folding of the flag at these events to show our respect for fallen officers and soldiers who gave their life for our freedom.

We strive to represent the highest standard of integrity, professionalism and dedication to duty. The Honor Guard will promote honor, professionalism, and integrity through its image and at all times hold the Jefferson Police Department core values to the highest degree. The Honor Guard is always on stand-by waiting to serve the community of Jefferson and our nation.

If you would like to request the Honor Guard for an event or ceremony please contact Detective Chris Foster for more information.
